What’s the difference between Live-streaming and Uploading LIVE?

Streaming is the most common way of watching a live event but is limited.  One can’t pause a stream or rewind.  A school will make more money if they upload LIVE instead of live-streaming.

Uploading live, means that the camera operator will be hitting the pause and record button throughout the event.  Every time the pause button is clicked, the previous clip will get uploaded to the cloud.

The advantages of Uploading LIVE:

  1. The people viewing the game will be able to rewind and watch the play over again.  It's like having instant replay on your phone.

  2. Those watching the game can post any play on social media 4-5 seconds after it happens.

  3. The video will upload into the team’s account live.  They can watch it on the bus ride home or as soon as they get to the locker room.

  1. QwikCut recommends the upload live (Clip by clip) instead of streaming.
